Overlanding Vlog Series in our 4Runner

Hello Jason, I thought I might find you here!
About three weeks ago my family and I made the decision to move to a more suitable camping, now I understand it as Overlanding, vehicle to a 4Runner. We were destroying our previous vehicle in ruts, high centered trails and the road to the family cabin. The timing was perfect as we went on two trips starting the day we bought the car.

Of course I've gone on my mod search already and Thursday night I caught your vlog on Youtube. I binged about 6 vids and then decided to invite my wife and two boys (9 & 11 yo) to check it out last night. They were thrilled to see your outlook on the sport and we are super excited to gear/mod up the truck to go see the eclipse with some friends and camp out out in the southern illinois woods.

Just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration and cheers for the great content on YouTube. Keep up the good work and see you on instagram.

That's spectacular! Love hearing feedback like this!! Congrats on your purchase - I think you'll love it! I've actually loved having my 4Runner and look forward to every trip I get to take in it - even it it's just a highway trip.

This was day two of expo west. There was so.. much.. content...

I broke this into 2 parts, the second part will be out Monday.

In this part, we look at bumper options for the 4runner!

The new CBI front bumper sure is purty. I would love to get the aluminum version but I have a 2013.

One more tidbit Jason-
I think I have my wife sold on a Turtleback because of you! Now she is telling me I need to get in on a sweet deal like you did on yours!!! It is amazing how much watching your series has made her a little more open to consider NOT taking the 27' Travel trailer we normally use, and thinking about heading to Mojave and eventually the Transamerica trail, for a true overland experience. Much love to you and your family for showing even the most skeptical wives, it can be done!

I think I have my wife sold on a Turtleback because of you! Now she is telling me I need to get in on a sweet deal like you did on yours!!! If you keep your eyes peeled, you can probably find one used. From time to time they pop up. I'm actually planning on getting a new one sometime in the near future as well, so mine will likely come up for sale!

It's funny, because my entire inspiration for my entire overlanding setup is to get it comfy enough for my wife to finally agree to come on a trip! She's not afraid of adventure, believe me, but she sure appreciates the comforts of home!

Hi Jason - just another guy stopping in to say love your work and thanks. I just stumbled on your YouTube channel yesterday and subscribed immediately. Had no idea you were on here but wondered so when you mentioned the online forums in one of the videos.

Keep up the great work! If you find yourself back in the north GA mountains, post up if you want some people to hit the trails with you.

I just stumbled onto your YT channel earlier today. We are still pretty early in what will be a very long-term project for our 4R, but have been into overlanding and off-roading for years. In the past this has always been in Jeeps so we are researching a lot on the 4Rs. It's alway nice to follow another's journey.

We aren't much for "VLOGing" but my wife and I run a Blog, and YT channel as well....

...anyway, nice work! Hopefully we can meet sometime.

Started watching the series in reverse at first....the ExPo West episodes first.

The event is about a mile away from my house, and I really enjoyed the new venue!
