OW Rear Spring vs. OME Medium- Sizing Question

Hey guys,
I have purchased a rear bumper and I am going to swap out my current rear springs(Overland Warehouse). I think they use the Eibach springs. I called Metal Tech and spoke with Wade on the topic but I don't think we answered the question.

I'm trying to remember if the OW springs are only a 2" in the rear as opposed to the OME medium duty spring being a 3" in the rear. I'm asking because I do not want the OME spring to be pushing the shock further than what it's capable/acceptable length is. I feel when the shock is fully extended, and if I am using a taller spring, the spring will be adding more force to pull the shock apart with only the shock being the limiting factor.

You're right that they're Eibach. The OW rears are 2" lift 220# spring rate.

So the 3" OME spring will add too much stress on the shock when fully extended, I take it.

Sorry but I honestly don't know. I think the shocks would probably be just fine but maybe call metaltech or Radflo and ask them? I'm sure they'd be able to let you know exactly what to expect.

I called Metal Tech and they weren't sure. I'll have to call Radflo.

Which OME's 895 or 896? Both of those are 2" just different rates.

895 -260# - commonly referred to as Mediums
896 -318# - heavy
897 -387# - heavy/expedition
