Owners of Mike's quick disco front end links chime in please

I come from a mostly Nissan background.... Maxima / 350z // VQ motor. I've never really been into trucks or SUVs till now.

I got Mike's extended sway bar end links installed. I've taken it to 1 light duty trail. Not 100% sure if I'll have time to take to another heavy duty trail BUT - I want to be ready to know everything when the time comes.

In order to "quick" disconnect the front end links, first - maybe a stupid question...do they disconnect while sitting on all 4 or do I jack the vehicle up -- THEN disconnect?

What do you have keeping your sway bar tied UP? Do you have pics?

Disconnect without lifting and you do nothing with the bar. Your bushings hold your sway bar in place.

Well today I tried messing around with them.

Drivers side: Both pins came out, but I couldnt slide the top or bottom out from the bolt. I twisted the link in both directions to see if it would get looser...it did but not loose enough.

Passenger side: Only 1 pin would come out.

Remove the lower pins. Then you should be able to pull it off the lower stud. After that pull the top pins, and then remove. Removing them on level ground is the easiest. Unlevel gravel can be challenging.

If all this doesnt work, then I possibly tightened the top bolt too tight?

Most people over tighten the top. They just need to be squished some, and not smashed. Maybe 15 ft lbs.
