For the last couple of months I've been getting the TPS code showing up and then going away. About a month ago, I cleaned the TB and MAF and then last week I took the TB off and replaced the TBS with a genuine Toyota part and took the IAC off and cleaned that as well. On the way to work sure enough the check engine light came on. Checked the codes and this time it was the TPS p0120 and the p0133, WTH? Cleared the codes and of course after about 40miles check engine light came on again, but this time it was only the p0133 (02 sensor). Here's my ? Prior to doing the work I did remove the EFI relay as well.
1) Is this a coincident that the p0133 came on, or could I have done something to affect it by changing out the tps and taking the TB off? I did replace everything with Toyota gaskets and parts
2) I have a v-6 with 160,000 miles (bought it at 30k) and have never replaced anything until now. I've read that it would be a good idea to replace o2 when they are getting up there in miles.
3) Anything else I can check. I hate to throw money at it if I'm not positive that's the problem.
Thanks for your suggestions.
