P0304 Code - 4.0L Head Gasket or Something Else?

did you replace your head gaskets? i have a 2004 4r my husband replaced the HG after #6 misfire. now its idel high my husband does not no what to do from here. Any idea??

I actually didnt have to! I had a few buddies come down from wyoming to "help" and we started drinking to much and decided that we wouldnt be able to start and finish in the remaining time of our 3 day weekend. So I pulled it out of the garage and we took it to breakfast; funny thing is that it has not once since that weekend "bobbled" on start up, thrown a code or even taken any coolant out of the reservoir. So currently I have a pile of parts on my shelf awaiting the day that issue returns. But so far Ive put 3k on it and its been great, knock on wood:pray:

As for your high idle, you may need to reset your throttle position. My pops is a mechanic and he was telling me that once I put mine back together I would more than likely have to take it to a dealer and have them reset the throttle. Dont ask me why but apparently there is no other way to reset it aside from going to the dealer or a shop that has the computer equipment to get in and do it. Best of luck and keep us updated!

the code says timing sensor which per my husband could me a lot of things. I hate to take my favorite car to the junk yard. my husband said last saturday " go get a new car" ive not give up yet.
