Paint Issues

I searched, and could not find a thread on this...

As anyone had issues with the paint on their 5th Gen?

I have three very small flecks of paint that have come off the drivers side quarter panel -clearly not a rock, ding or scratch.

The good news is that Toyota is going fix the paint- likely some impurities on the metal before painting, but I have never seen this before.. I was just going to get some touch paint, but they said they would fix it... go figure..

Bad news - first warranty issue with Toyota, especially on a 4 month old car. If all the paint falls off my silver TE, I will have them re-paint with the gunmetal sliver found on the FJ

A complete respray in a different color will cost you big bucks. It's a rediculous amount of work to change the color of a car. Basically, the entire truck will need to be disassembled (hood, fenders, bumpers, and the engine removed to paint all the jambs)
