Paint problems

I bought a new 04 4runner in November of 2003. Almost 2 yrs old and running great with 30,000 miles already. I have noticed since I bought it that it seems very easy to scractch the paint off. I have spots all over the hood that is missing paint..... and starting to show rust. Everytime someone opens there doors into my 4runner the paint is scratched off. Is this just a bad paint job or are all 4runners this way? Is this covered under any warranty since I am getting close to the end of the warranty.

Wow, that doesn't sound right at all. I would definately be complaining to the dealership about that. No way should you have any rust on an 04 due to paint chipping off. Sounds like it wasn't baked long enough at the factory or something.

I have the same problem on my 03 and I'm not too happy about it. Anyone know how long the paint warranty is?

Not really sure there is a warranty for paint(unless defective), but I believe there is a 5/yr 60,000 warranty on corrosion.

Well I am due for an oil change an tire rotation so I will have be talking to them about about the rust spots and then cr@ppy paint job....... hopefully it will be resolved easily with no headaches like I had at the last dealership with my '94 4runner!
