paint protection film

I got my '15 Trial in mid August. My easy up cover has wheel on it... and they put 5 nice gouge's in my bumper paint (that 1" cap of unprotected bumper where it makes the bend)! I foresee a bottle of touch up paint and some vinyl in my future!

Why no paint protection film for the loading area?

Anyone care to share how their protection film has lasted over the past few years (either from the dealer of aftermarket install)?

I do a lot of highway driving, so thinking about getting PPF.

Is the below quote a fair price? Film is XPEL Ultimate.

Bumper + full hood + full fenders + door handles/cups + mirrors + front windows Llumar pinnacle tint = $1265

Bumper + partial hood + partial fenders + door handles/cups + mirrors + front windows Llumar pinnacle tint = $850

Which one should I go with? Should I get 2" film above the front windshield as well?

I have it on my 2011 black Trail and I'm happy I did it. I have it on the first part of my hood and door edges. It hasn't aged at all despite a life parked outside. It does have its share or rock and debris marks though. I've never had any issues waxing. I just use the edge of a rag or black wax and have great luck.

Fair price. Make sure they do the a-pillars, first few inches of roof above the windshield and the rocket panels.

Mine came with a film on the rocker panel. I thought it was standard on all 4Runner's.

thanks everyone for the input. I was told by a reputable shop that 3m was also known for the orange peel look. that known installer told me that the avery nano fusion is a lot better and he offers lifetime warranty. I wanted to do the whole front and all the side (full fenders, doors, quarter panel, and partial bumper). im not too concerned about the rear hatch. but im not to sure if its worth the money. ive got quoted $1200-$1600 to do it. it will also be laser cut. do you guys think its worth that kind of money?? not too many installers in Hawaii on the island of Oahu.

$1200-1600 to do essentially the entire car is cheap. If they are a reputable shop I woul do it.

Is there any warranty on the Toyota port installed film? Mine has a giant orange stain in it. I’m thinking of just peeling it off.

Price seems reasonable to me if done correctly. I had mine done and several other areas that see wear and need to be covered.
