paint touch up

Door sill has a little rust. Would like to clean it up and touch up the paint. Is there a close match to Desert Dune available in Dupli-Color or similar rattle can?

Or, any suggestions?

Your best bet is to go down to a local Toyota dealer and ask for the paint for Desert Dune. If you can find the paint # that helps. It's not going to be a perfect match since your paint is faded but is as close at it gets. It comes in either a paint pen if I remember correctly.

Since that area in not visible from the outside and not much sun will be hitting it, I would recommend duplicolor (1A5) desert dune color touch up paint (or spray can). Of course with some sanding and primer applied to that area first. Im not a big fan of duplicolor for exterior use, but for little hidden patches where the sun don't shine, its ok. That should stop or slow that rust.

i have an almost identical spot in the exact same place. I've noticed when it rains water runs down the weather stripping and pools up right there.

My truck came from Indianapolis so has had the snow as well as rain.

I made the pic a little smaller for everyone's viewing please lol.

Thanks for the comments. I will ck out the Duplicolor one mentioned.

BTW, if it helps anyone else the Toyota color code is K84.

Make sure you sand ALL the rust off. Otherwise it will spread under your new paint.
