painted grille, just wanted opinions

Just painted my grille today, not quite satisfied by the way it looks, hoping it will grow on me, just wanted to see others opinion on the look.

thats all i got for now, just took a quick one underground. paint doesnt quite match but i'm gonna redo it once i get my rear license plate panel done too.

yeah i did, 1 can of paint 5 coats, 1 can of clear coat 3 caots

Thanks, i also thought about doing that, but then i realized at night, it'll look like a big hole in my grill, so i decided to paint the whole thing white which gives it a little detail.

Make some wire mesh inserts and cut out that plastic in the midle of the 3 bars

Yeah I've also thought about the satoshi, but i personally dont like the "old school" look, i prefer the stock 3rd gen grille with very minor changes.

What did you do for prep work on it ?
Id like to paint mine but I haven't had good luck with paint projects in the past.

for prep, i just hand sanded the whole grill, used paint thinner to wipe it down to get rid of all the dust and crap, did about 5 coats of the primer waiting about 30 minutes between each coat, and then 3 coats of clear coat to finish it off. it was about a 4 hour project, i'm very satisfied with the paint job, but not too much on the color match to the car. its a very different white so i'm hoping it will grow on me, but if not i'll paint it with the car colour when i get a chance.

I painted mine white too and kept it that way for about 6 months but I just repainted about a week ago with black bed liner and I like it waaay better now
