Painted rear diff and axle with POR15

Decreased and etched the surfaces last night. Painted on the POR 15 this morning. Forget to take an 'after' pic before I took it off the lift. But, as you can see in the before pic, rust was really minimal, mainly surface. Not bad for a 12 year old PA truck.

I will be following suit next month. My rig definitely has much more rust than yours :mad2:

Any opinions on areas that I SHOULD NOT treat with POR 15? I understand this stuff is pretty strong and permanent so I don't want to mistakenly coat any moving parts/sensors/gaskets/hot parts that could lead to potential issues?

Is it ok to cover bolts/plugs with POR 15 (ie - differential fill/drain plugs, etc)?

I wouldn't if you ever want to unbolt or unscrew them again. You would have to chip the paint off to get it to the correct size to use a wrench otherwise it would just keep rounding off I think.

When I painted my undercarriage with POR-15 a few years ago, I taped off any visible bolt heads and threads.
