Painted the front grill

Chrome was starting to peel and was all nicked up, so I sprayed the grill and bottom center piece a satin black, turned out pretty damn good I think.

Two questions - Did you peel all the chrome off then paint, or paint over it? Also, how is the emblem attached? I have been thinking about doing this myself.

Hell no I didn't even try to peel all that off, what a nightmare that would be haha. I just used some 300+ grit sandpaper and made the surface nice and smooth then hit it with a coat of primer followed by 4 coats of paint, then 2 coats of clear. Emblem is held on by two screws on the inside of the grill, not a big deal.
