not sure if this is the right area to post in but whatever, im sure its close enough.

Anyways, I just got my car painted maybe 5 days ok. Painted it black (probably not the best choice but im liking it) so I was wondering when I should wash it. I rinsed it down with cold water after 2 days because a neighbor of mine restores a lot of old cars and recommened I do so. Well I rinsed it down and dried it with a moist chamoie (dont know how to spell it) well I dont know if that was the best idea, I dont see any real damage like scratches or anything but I just dont want to do it again till I know for sure what I should and should not do. I am going to call the shop up tomrrow and ask them but I just wanted to make sure I didnt do anything wrong.

Washing it should be ok, since the paint is already dry. Typically, waxing is not recommended until at least 90 days later to allow the paint to fully cure.

ya i called he told me about a week to wash and at least a month for wax. So ill probably wash it this weekend and wait a little longer then a month to use any kind of wax product on it
