Painting oem rims

Since I just did the tundra brakes and painted them with caliper paint it inspired me to paint my rims as well to get everything looking nice. New color is bottom and original color is on top. I was going for something a little darker than stock but similar. Paint color is metallic graphite with a matte clear coat. What do you guys think?

I like it. I painted mine gun metal grey. A little darker like yours gives it a bit of a richer feel

Finished the rest of the rims late last night, I’m pretty happy with how they came out. Not perfect but good enough and way cheaper than buying new rims lol..

It’s called Montana spray paint, a little more expensive than standard spray paint but it goes on really nice and they have a huge selection of colors/finishes. MONTANA-CANS - Highest Quality Spray Paint made in Germany

I went to check the top nuts on my rear struts cause I’ve read people don’t tighten them when installing aftermarket suspension. Low and behold the previous owner didn’t tighten those nuts lol.. While I was checking I noticed the back of my rims are already starting to corrode!! Luckily I already cleaned the backs of the rims really good so I just need to do a once over and throw some paint on them...

Love them, had ko2’s from the PO and they were way louder on the highway than the km3’s. Planning on getting them again when I need tires.

Got paint on the backs of the rims last night, messed up the front of one of them in the process.. Removed the paint with some thinner and ordered another can..

I've been thinking about painting my wheels and this is very convincing - your wheels look incredible. That color really brings out the shape of the wheels and gives them a lot of depth! Thanks for sharing!
