My OME coils arrived a few days ago and I had a friend with a coil compressor mount them for me, but he chipped off some of the black vinyl on the coil. There are also a lot of chips of yellow paint missing from the shock.
We were replacing the LBJs at the same time and broke a couple of bolts so I'm waiting for new ones. In the meantime I'd like to paint the coils in the spots where the vinyl is missing, and possibly paint the shocks so they don't rust so quickly.
Thoughts? I didn't see much when I searched, other than a thread with color combination suggestions for coils/shocks. I'm going to head to Napa tomorrow to see what my options are for paint but thought I'd see if anyone else has any experience painting them.
