Parking Question.

this is a random question but i wanna hear what yall think...
when you see a plain stock 4th gen with an open parking spot next to it, do yall outshine it by parking next to it or just pass it up and find another spot?

also, i tend to pull up next to stock 4th gens at stoplights just to be a lil showy :bluejump:

but thats just me, i know i may be odd like that, but i love my truck, why not show her off :tongue:

If another 4R looks good, well taken care of then yes, otherwise I would me worried that the driver might accidentaly dent/scratch my car. I don't want that to happen so I will keep looking for a 4R worthy parking spot. Yes I like to park next to 4R's, I think they all look very cool.

Call me paranoid, but I try to park as far as away from other vehicles as possible in order to avoid door dings, etc... But, even that doesn't always help. I parked in the "back 40" at our local Target a couple of months ago with no one within 25 yards of me. I come back out after we finished shopping and someone ******* in a pickup truck parked right next to me and slammed their door so hard into my passenger side rear cladding that they not only scratched it, but they dug a hole into it. :whipping2

<rant mode on> I've said it before - there are a lot of people out there today who just don't give a crap about our stuff and don't mind knocking the crap out of our trucks. <rant mode off> :dammit:

I'm the same as pickerdd!!

I stay away from cars...especially those old folks in Volvo 240 DL/GL.

Nah...My ego isn't that big.
As for the scratch and dent thing, go 4 wheeling and put your own scratchs and dents in your 4runner. That way you will not be so paranoid around others and really enjoy your toy. Those scratch/dents are going to happen, no matter what.

Definitely parked next to a Ferrari the other day which was parked all the way in the back of a lot, just to mess with the owner....gave him a ton of room but people buy them as status symbols and I just wanted to make sure people didn't see how cool he was when he got into his car.....

Gave him the business for sure, haha

Since I got mine I have really noticed how many other 4th gens there are on the road, they are absolutely EVERYWHERE. Makes sense, it's a great vehicle for up here (VT).
