Hi folks,

Looking to see if anyone can help me identify the following small piece:



It is a small plastic cap that covers the shift release. This is for an 07 4Runner SR5.

My '07 Sport did not have one, brand new truck.

I'm not so sure that it lacks this as it is such a small piece. I have seen other 4Runners with this piece (my father also has an '07 4runner sr5).

Any help would be appreciated. At the very least, is there a link to a parts .pdf that I could cop a look at?

I found it by entering my 4Runner model information, then select Power Train/Chassis, then under components, Shift Lever & Retainer.

It seems to be part number 554-35080 (but it doesn't show up from the search).

I actually need to pick one of these up also. I had one on my old 2006 T4R but am missing it on my 2007.

I'll wait until I figure out if there's anything else that I need to order since shipping for the $1.99 part is over $8.

This might be one of those rare parts that's cheaper at the stealership. Although they'll probably charge $8+tax and it'll take two weeks, sometimes they have things like that in stock. I get all my drain plug crush washers for free when I buy filters, ya never know.
