Part Number/Size Needed Please - Bolts that fasten Transmission to Engine Block

I picked up what I hope is a nice 5VZ-FE from a junkyard yesterday and brought it home on a trailer. I would like to mount it on an engine stand to off some of the stuff they left on it and to replace a few things before I hand it over to be installed by a pro, but the yard did not leave any of the bolts for fastening the tranny to the block (and I wouldn't expect them to). I need the bolts to fasten it to the engine stand.

Anyway, does anybody know the part number for these bolts? I would like to order them directly from Toyota rather than try and figure out the right size and thread pitch and risk damaging threads.

You'll need 3 bolts each per part number

I don't know the bolt diameters and thread pitch.
Maybe someone else can chime in with these. That way you could pick these up at the hardware store.

Those 12s tell you it is M12. Works for washers and nuts, too.

Toyota only uses one pitch for each diameter:

6 mm diameter - 1 mm pitch (iso course) - requires 10 mm wrench to fit head / nut
8 mm diameter - 1.25 mm pitch (iso course) - requires 12 mm wrench to fit head / nut
10 mm diameter - 1.25 mm pitch (iso fine) - requires 14 mm wrench to fit head / nut
12 mm diameter - 1.25 mm pitch (iso other) - requires 17 mm wrench to fit head / nut
14 mm diameter - 1.5 mm pitch (iso fine) - requires 19 mm wrench to fit head / nut
16 mm diameter - 1.5 mm pitch (iso fine) - requires 22 mm wrench to fit head / nut

So M12x1.25.

Unfortunately, length is not so easy.

12x1.25 factory length depends on transmission. But if. You're just using them to install on an engine stand measure and get the best length for the job. Some factory ones are too long, some are too short.

Awesome everybody, thanks very much for the info. I can't wait to start stripping stuff off this engine, clean it up and do a couple of jobs on my own before I hand it over to a pro for installation.

So the bolt holes/faceplate on my engine stand will take up 2 1/16 inches or about 54mm of bolt. I am thinking that if I add 50-54mm to whatever the length of the OEM bolt is and buy a 12x1.25 at that length. Anybody know the length of the OEM bolts?

Should I buy grade 8 bolts to make sure the bolts can take the load of the engine? There are only four on my stand. Specs on the motor says it ways 425lbs.

it depends on the engine stand. the ones I used were from home depot and they were

M12x1.25x90mm

I have cheapo harbor freight

you need longer/shorter ones depending on your engine stand mount.

I actually made an engine stand out of 2x12's and it almost works better than anything else I have used. a standard sized furniture dolly fitts perfect under it so you can roll the engine around lemon squeeze. unless you need to flip the egine over? the wooden one works better IMO. can leave the flex plate on the egine with the wooden one, can't on the engine stand.

I bought the grade 8, 12x1.25x100mm for my engine stand and 150mm to make alignment dowels for install.
I bought the grade 8 cause that’s the only bolts my local hardware store had in 1.25 pitch. I bought the 150mm cause they were the shortest with a section of smooth shank.
