Passenger dash corner problem!

That is a common problem. There is actually a flat piece of metal behind the padding. I think you can get to it with the glove box removed. I'd disconnect the battery for at least 90 seconds before working on it. There is of course an airbag underneath the padding. The sensor will be deactivated after 90 seconds with no power. I repaired one along time back and don't remember the exact way to get at it. Look at the upper rail on the glove box frame and you should see the piece of metal that hooks into the back of the pad. It drove me crazy and I got it to the point where it looked acceptable, not perfect though.

I fixed mine with a heat gun before and it was good for about a year and it came back up. Didn't remove the piece just heated a little a time and pressed the dash back until the clip that's back there went back into its place

I will try the heat gun tomorrow.

You say there's a clip there huh ?

It a small tab that needs to be screwed from the inside... I believe it's accessible once the glovebox is removed.
