While giving my 05 T4R V8 a workout in the NC mountains, I dropped the rear window to determine if I could smell any of the exhaust smells described on this Forum.
There was a strange mixture of odors, but the biggest surprise was the exhaust sound between 3,500 and 5,000 RPM!!! SHHHHHHHHHH.
Is sure sounded like a plugged system: no exhaust notes, just an awful whooshing sound.
Has anyone else experienced this or know what might be happening. Maybe there is a rag stuffed up the tailpipe!!
By the way, is the last 5 inch "cylinder", ( the one just before the tailpipe), a muffler, a resonator or something else?
