You know the saying "Past Performance is no guarantee of Future Performance" that investment advisors use, right? Well the same applies to repair shops. I had a local shop install my OME suspension based on past excellent work.
Bad decision. After quite a while I was getting a ridiculous amount of squeaking from the front end. I figured it was poly bushings. The other day while under the truck checking everything and re-installing my sway bar prior to a road trip with my trailer I was shocked to see my UCA bolt was sticking out. WTF?!
Apparently the "mechanic" removed the UCA and when he put it back on he left off the main washer that holds everything in place.
Posting just as a reminder to tighten your stuff and give your truck a good look over frequently. This is especially true if you go off-road a lot.
