Patches on the Ceiling

I've seen some 5th Gen YouTube enthusiasts with patches on the ceiling above the front seats. I have a lot of patches I don't know what to do with. Anybody else do this? Are you using velcro to attach them? Thanks...

We have enough to cover to just past the sunroof opening. Most come with Velcro backing, for those that don’t, we’ve used one side of Velcro, cut to fit, from a roll we picked up at the hardware store.

If the patch already has velcro, just press it into the headliner - they stick. Until they drop. Then repeat.

Most of my patches are the old style to be ironed on (with some mysterious substance adhering to the back side), then sewn. Surprised no-one posted any pics for inspiration...
