this new Paypal program is nothing but problems. NOw it will not let me 'close the account' , says I have to pay off the balance first. Balance is $0.00. I tried to edit the my email address or phone number, it will not let me.

I got an email that they are closing the account. also a call earlier that someone called from 866 area. They did not answer any of my questions, will check with that bank and be sure no one else has access. done.

I had a $15 balance that had already been paid from my bank account and the same thing happened to me. After it was finally paid due to their stubborn policy, they wanted me to verify my account using multiple forms of identification to ensure no fraudulent activity. They've asked me to verify my account 9 times since then and won't let me close. Oh PayPal, how I despise you.

Its so nice to know you can open an account, give them all your financial info, then get screwed and not be able to close it. ha

and this is why I have a special checking account tied to paypal. I only move money over when I need to make an online purchase or paypal or anything that requires a cc number.

in case this account number gets stolen, I just close the account and open a new one.

I only keep $25 in the account at all times since the $5 service charge and Netflix charge only come out to $23 a month.

I was also fortunate to have a checking account I was getting ready to close. It all started when I had a small refund from ebay and they said they would send it to my credet card. never happened. I kept asking for it, nothing.

Can you tie a reloadable debit card to pay - pal and only put money on it when you're buying something ?? Instead of tying your bank account or regular credit card.
