Finally get to start one of these things. Its not much, but hopefully there will be more to come...

Bought her in December of 09 with 125k.
Went for a drive up the 1, got a shot of it stock, looked like this:

Got a hold of Paul from Defiant Truck Products and I helped him design his light bars for 99-02 4runners. Decided to go with 4 KC slimlites on the bar. Turned out great.

Started looking into lifts, and after much, much deliberation, decided to go with Tundra front coils and OME 891 rears. Got it installed yesterday, 11/24. 891's sit a little high now, not sure whether they will settle, or if I will end up throwing a spacer in the front, but I'm happy either way. Also blacked out the KC logo on the lights.

I'd go for the bigger tires as my next immediate upgrade basing on your lists of mods to come...:thumb3::thumb3::thumb3:

I'm glad that you finally got the lift on. The fronts aren't going to settle but the rears will a little. Give it a few weeks.

hey downpour, fightman, driffter, bak3rme and gerdo thanks a lot, I appreciate the compliments.

as for the new tires, blcktpgsr, believe you me, I can't wait for these things to wear out so I can get some new tires.

you can probally sell those tires right now on craigslist or something for like 300 bucks..use that money and get new tires!

thanks racerunner...

If I had the money for the remainder, I would definitely do that. I've thought about trying to sell my 265/70s and buy some bigger tires off CL with maybe half tread left, just don't know if it would be worth it.

Lift looks good. The rake in the back will settle a little.

I like a little rake in the back. But like leveled looked as well.

thanks animal. I will wait a few weeks and wait to see where the rear settles. Then I might throw some 1/4" spacers in the front and level it out a little more.

Not much of an update, but it's a little one. Added an imp jade mica grill and ditched the chrome one. added ngk plugs and wires, but no pics of that. These are from a camping trip last weekend up on Pruitt Ridge. I have some EPIC sunset pictures that I will put somewhere on this forum...not sure where.

Also decided I want a 3/8" spacer from Toytec to raise the front a little more...

Looking good! The color matched grille looks great. Love the mica green. That was the color of my Tacoma and I loved it.

It's crazy what a big difference the little things can make. The grill looks great, it finishes the look of the front end off nicely.

Just curious/guessing here, because I saw that you and drifter33 had linked up earlier in your thread... did that grill come off his truck? I wish there were some more 4runner owners in my area who could link up... :nono:

Thanks 96743runner and Hepar!

The grill actually came from SIKHILUXSURF, he replaced his 99 grille with an 01-02 almost right away and had this one sitting around forever. Just got lucky!
