PBColt '99 T4R Build

I see said the blind man :cool: I just figured it might be drifter's because I remember he made that bumper w/the integrated grill. Good score either way.
 
Painted my rims a few weekends ago. I really like the look. Used Some Self etching primer, metal primer and duplicolor graphite wheel paint. Here's the end result...

Nice work! I really like the look of painted wheels, but seeing the wheels later on with rock chips always changes my mind. I hope yours can hold up! They look great!:trophy:
 
wow those rims look great. awesome color. they look a whole lot better on the imperal jade colored 4runners. same color as mine but looks like u got more gloss to it..or maybe mine are dirty. anyhow if i could re-do my paint i'd go with the green. good call on the grille too
 
Hey thanks guys, I hope they hold up as well. Ultimately I'd like to get into some FJ wheels, but until then, these will do!

Thank you! I got the springs from a fellow T4R member off of his truck, and the blue tokicos I scored off a TTORA member. They had less than 1000 miles on them and got em for 50 bucks!
 
damm nice, so the tokico blues if i were to search for them what must i look for?
model # or what truck they came off of?

I remembered seeing this update and meant to comment but I got caught up. The rims look cherry man. They really go well with the color of your 'Runner. I know you've mentioned the college budget a few times, and I see your sig w/the list of future mods and I just hope to see this thing make it there before you put to many miles on it, sell and upgrade, or life otherwise has it's way with the truck. You know how that seems to go. Looking forward to your future progress. :thumb3:

Yeah I know that will eventually happen, but I'd like to see how far I can get before it does. I'm hoping to take care of a rack and new tires this summer, so that narrows it down. Bumper probably won't happen but like you said, thats how it goes. Thanks for the compliments btw.
 
Put the 3/8" Spacer in front today. I like the improved stance.

Looking good.

I like the gunmetal gray wheels. I have thought about painting mine but I think I would hate the rock rash. It doesn't stand out on the silver wheels.

Exactly why I'm regretting painting mine. Thanks again for the tundra coils, they're working out great!
 
Woohoo! Cant wait to put these on along with front and rear sway bar bushing kits from wheelers. Unfortunately, I think I'll have to pay to put the front shocks on, as I don't have a lot of time recently to wrench.
