I uploaded the PDFs for everyone:

4th Gen Fender Liners PDF

You will need a printer that can do 11 x 17.

I used some oil resistant rubber from Grainger:

GRAINGER APPROVED Rubber,Vinyl,1/8 In Thick,12 x 24 In - Rubber Sheets and Strips - 1MXU1|360-1/8B - Grainger Industrial Supply

"Oil-resistant Vinyl Rubber, Plain Back, 1/8" Thk, 12" X 24", 80a Durometer "

Part number on grainger.com is: 1MXU1

I think I put around $20 bucks into it (I think 2 sheets did it??? 1 sheet is ~ $11.50 ).




Also, people are cutting up Rubbermaid trash cans, or using trimmable floormats.




According to Preacher35:

"4WDFTW made templates for these pieces."

"The parts that you are referring to are the front fender apron seal (smaller piece) and front fender splash shield (larger piece). The part #'s are as follows:
LH FAS: 53736D
LH FSS: 53886H
RH FAS: 53735B
RH FSS: 53886H (yes, same as the left hand)"

For anyone ordering using part numbers, here are the numbers and quantity courtesy of Greg at Factory Toyota Parts and Toyota Accessories We are an OEM Parts Supplier.

53735-35150 SEAL, FENDER $16.48 x 1
53886-35020 SEAL, FENDER $17.76 x 2
53736-35150 SEAL, FENDER $20.04 x 1

Total for all 4 parts (for me) came out to $90.35 shipped.
 
Thanks for posting this. You and everyone who contributed saved me $80.

I did want to mention that Grainger also sells a 1/16 " thick version of the oil resistance
vinyl rubber. The part number is 1MXT9 and it costs $6.19 per 12"x24" sheet.

Yeah.

I couldn't get them to fit either.

I just used the plastic rivets that have a Phillips head on them from Lowes. The ones sold in pairs.

They are actually really easy to remove. Just unscrew them to pop them out. It was a happy accident. They were out of the standard ones.

They look like this (**edited to the right pic 3/2017**):

Fan-freakin-tastic! Getting ready to order some material. For those who've done this, opinions on using 1/16 or 1/8 material?

Where did you get the fastners (Edit: I just saw you did mention Lowes)and what diameter are they?

The pic on the lowes website is wrong. It really looks like the attachment one post below.

They are 5mm.

The holes in the 4runner frame are right at 7mm in diameter, so you can probably use 7mm ones and be fine.

Edit: I figured it out. The key to these is I screwed them in until they got tight. Some wouldn't go in all the way. I tapped them gently with a small rubber mallet and they aren't going anywhere!

They are a dollar a pack, or about $.50 a piece.

Or you can just go to to the dealer and get OEM clips, but that's no fun!!

If you use the 1/16, the original fasteners will fit. This will save you the extra money ($20-$25) for the cost of new ones. And if you do go with new ones, you'll have to try them out first to make sure they'll work. Autozone let me do that because theirs come in packages that can be re-sealed.

At this point I would second the 1/16 thickness. I'd go with that if I had to do it over again. After a tough winter, the thicker 1/8 ones I have are pretty rigid and stiff. No issues going with the thinner ones!!
 
I didn't have any issues using my original fasteners with the 1/8". However it's a EPDM/neoprene mix so it's not super rigid.

Sounds like your material may be the best of both worlds. I like the thickness of mine, but I would have preferred to use the original fasteners. I'm not sure the ones I bought will hold up over time.
 
Might be doing this soon since i have 3 slash shield missing..Thanks for the PDF. Definitely be using 1/8 and some fastener I have laying around. I'm probably going to a printing store near me and getting the PDF printed since I don't have a printer that can print 11x17.
