Pedal commander vs Sprint booster?

My '20 feels a little sluggish, but not not overly so. I test drove some '19 before purchasing '20 and '19 felt slower then '20.
Is there a possibility that Toyota improved the throttle response on the '20?
Or is it all in my head?

I'd say it's in your head - I had an 2018 that got totaled and replaced with a '20. I didn't notice any difference between the two - both were SR5 premiums and they were both sloths on the road. I went with the PC on the '20 and it's been amazing

I have a 2019 4runner I keep in the mountains of Colorado at over 9000 ft. I was very disappointed with the acceleration and responsiveness so took the plunge with a SB that I installed over the Christmas holidays. The difference truly is night and day. I can know keep up with traffic without feeling like I have the truck "floored" all the time. It downshifts so much quicker which is appreciated in the mountains. To you who just ordered you will love it. I also didn't notice much if any change in fuel consumption.

It feels like I'm driving a different vehicle.

current PC user but like the SB feature of valet and disable security feature, learned about it after the fact.

I've had a number of diesel trucks with programmers. I am not expecting anything close to what they do for the vehicle, however I really don't like the lag with the 4Runner. I will try one of these (PC or SB) and hope for the best. Once you have used a programmer on a diesel you won't ever find anything comparable.....unless you get a supercharger!

Hello everyone! New here from Cleveland Ohio and just picked up a 2021 Toyota pro TRD premium 4runner in midnight black. I love it so far, but interested in the Sprint booster.

This will work on a 2021, correct? I do feel the sluggish throttle response in the gas pedal. First thing I noticed before I even heard of this product.

So, just wanted to say hello! Oh, and need remote start, did not come with it.

I installed Sprint Booster v3 on my 2018 SR5P two weeks ago and am very happy with the results. I thoroughly researched this product and had been very skeptical due to the great deal of misinformation out there. This is a quality product and exceeded my expectations. It really improved throttle response and decreased pedal lag, but most importantly it gave me much more precise control of the pedal for easily tapping into a downshift. It’s great for traffic, merging into fast moving lanes of traffic, highway ramps, traveling up mountain highways and passing. So far, no change in mpg. Feels like a whole new vehicle and lets you enjoy the engine on streets and highways. I finally gave in and bought one, figuring that I could return it easily with the money-back guarantee if not satisfied. After experiencing it, I wouldn’t give it up. Like many others, wish I had done it sooner.
