Didn't someone say part of Chapt 7 is nobody can go after the debtors for money or they'll be held "in contempt" I feel like if theres a mob it won't get anyone anywhere.

I have no intention of harassing anyone or having any part of any mob. I will be speaking with the Judge and petitioning that my pre order of product should not be included in the Bankruptcy.
And as a side benefit I intend to introduce myself to the Pelfreys. :becky:

And please understand, I haven't received my money back yet but I hope to. Regardless of what happens with that I intend to be a thorn in their side if nothing else

indy500driver 's posts are what those directly involved need to heed, the rest is just noise.

After my original post in this thread, a reply post suggested I should post it on TacomaWorld since there people there need advice as well... So I did that here and wrote in depth on ACH/Credit/Debit rules and scenarios various people are in, including information to importantly consider if you are listed and receiving the Bankruptcy notice

I highly suggest reading that thread from start to finish. TL/DR, you should still dispute regardless of whether or not you are listed / have received the BK notice.

I second rochmpr's comments. My 4x4 Labs rear bumper is bolted on with 12 (or more) bolts - there's no welding to mount the bumper. The entire rear plastic bumper cover was taken off (no cutting plastic). The frame rails were cut and the receiver hitch is integrated into the bumper to increase the departure angle and clearance. The bumper is super strong and well made.

I was under the impression it was welded to the rear frame rails. I guess I was mistaken. I'll edit my original.

Yep. Highest clearance rear bumper on the market by a margin. I’m running 4x4Labs front and rear bumpers, and sliders, on both the cruiser and 4Runner. I’ve had budbuilt and allpro sliders as well. Nothing wrong with them, but 4x4Labs are simply better engineered for strength and clearance, at least for what I’m using them for.

In addition to great products designed and built for off-road performance, Luke and his crew are honest. There's no BS and no schmoozy sales pitches. Give them money, wait a while, and you'll get great products. I have their front bumper, rear bumper, and sliders. Plus a relocated windshield washer tank that's incredibly well designed and integrated. Luckily for me, rochmpr and bimrunner were very nice to let me see their 4Runners with 4x4 Labs armor and my decision was easy!

Very very worth the wait.

I'll just say this, almost ALL off-road shops are a LOT smaller in terms of staff than you'd think.

Even the biggest one out there that I know of, and have visited, which is Addictive Desert Designs, is a lot smaller than you'd think. And they're an OEM manufacturer for Ford's stuff.

I know these bumpers are being stocked up, painted, etc. But it's totally worth it.

Congrats on winning salesman of the month!!

This post should be removed as Pelfrey has filed for Bankruptcy

Oh shit? Seriously when did that happen?

Little late to the party. Cat has been out of the bag for awhile:painkiller:

And no the thread should stay. Or maybe you were referring to having your post removed...

Just to be clear on something.. You don't cut the fenders with any of the bumper covers. that just adds to the propaganda a bit stating that.... so I want to clear that up.

You trim the stock plastic cover to leave a flexible piece between the body and the now rigid cover bonded to the frame. No fenders are cut.

It's a good thing to have that movement allowed. Otherwise there has to be significant gaps left. One design is no better than the other really. It is more complex to build up to the smooth lines of the body and keep it looking decent. You get a little more protection up higher, but nobody in a 5th gen leverages that anyway.

That approach was probably one of the downfalls of their design as it probably did not translate well for production work. You have to really know what you are doing to pull that off and make it look good. It's pretty easy to do as a one off. Each truck is different though so adjustments become part of the equation with that approach and it was most likely a big set back if they ever had intentions of delivery.

4x4 labs pulls it off well, but totally different animal (as it is an actual bumper that can be positioned on the frame) and there are huge gaps left. Still looks decent.

This is spot on. A full rear or front bumper is very hard to make look good. The frame needs to be free to twist and flex independent of the body. And the bumper will flex when it hits something. It needs to or it's going to be insanely heavy, or it's going to be brittle and fail.

Also just because it's interesting: this is how pros make bumpers efficiently:
