Pelfreybilt Vs Demello VS Shrockworks

I'm not a huge fan of bulky bumpers or these bumpers that stick way out the front like they arrive at your destination 20 minutes before you do. I'm trying to talk myself into buying one of these jobs from Addicted Offroad.

Sure, though it seems like I use my Shrock for tools and what-not when I am working on the runner. Good place to stand on too.
The Shrockworks has been my favorite, sometimes wish it was Alu, these new offers are growing on me.

Just installed my pelfreybilt aluminum single hoop bumper.

Man, I was really hoping their 4runner bumper would look better than shrockworks since their tacoma ones look awesome but that front push bar being so tall is driving me crazy.

Yeah, I wonder what the design decision was behind that - plus the forward lean. I want something tighter to the grill.

I'm thinking maybe they just duplicated the same design as the Tacoma and it wasnt similar or they just rushed it maybe. It just doesn't look like anything they've produced for other models. If I were to order one I'd probably request they make some adjustments on it or just order it with no hoops and add my own.

I was really looking forward to going with the pelfrey but I am leaning towards building my own now, no offense Grant I was planning on doing the same thing but that hoop is awful. I don't understand why someone hasn't made a good looking aluminum bumper for our 4th gens, our trucks already have quite the beak on them from the factory I really don't want it bigger. And no offense to the shrockworks but why would you want something so heavy in the wrong place, I wish they made it in aluminum because it might be the best looking of the bunch.

If you have access to CAD already or want to learn Google Sketchup or another free software, you could buy some tools, a welder, and a bunch of metal for the price of a completed bumper. You'll just be out a lot of time, if you do it correctly. Maybe it's just me, but I find all that stuff lots of fun and you get to create a design nobody else has. Or will have.
