Peppy's build thread

Had a busy day working on the 4runner. Swapped out the Moog FJ rear springs for the Camburg/SAW 1.5" springs. Swapped all 4 rotors and pads to Centric Premiums and Akebono Performance. Finally put on my Camburg ball joint UCA's. I was really pissed at the poor fitment(aka completely not fitting) ball joint covers. Total waste of $40. I'm going to see how much the SAW's settle over the next few days and then raise the front up an inch or so. I think I gained a little over an inch in the rear over the Moogs. Also finished painting my sliders. They get welded on Monday.

What did you ever do about the dust caps for your UCA's not fitting?

I've been running without the dust caps. I'm 99% sure they sent me Tundra caps instead of the 4Runner ones. I never followed up with them to get them replaced.

Got an email today that I'll get my order from leatherseats.com before Christmas. I needed a Winter project so I'm installing the leather myself. I ordered black with full cardinal red faces on the seats. I'm also doing heated seats front and rear. I went with these because Clazzios would take 12 weeks and cost almost the same as the leather from leatherseats was after the black Friday discount. Also I couldn't get the color combo with Clazzio. The seats would have to be all red instead of red with black on just the sides and rear of the seats.

Got the majority of the rear seats done today. Calling it quits for now. I'm glad I decided to do this myself, it's not a hard job, just tedious. So far I'm happy with the outcome. Would definitely be easier with an extra set of hands.

Those seat covers look amazing! I need to get off my arse and get my seat warmers installed. They've been sitting in my garage since the beginning of Spring.

Finished the passenger seat. Had to do a little extra trimming to get it to fit right with the power seat control. One more seat to go!

Got some work done on one of my headlights. Still working on it, prob have to run over to TRS tomorrow since the wiring harness for the X.POD 2 is giving me issues. The retro quik projector is done and all set. It's taken me since last night to get this far on just one headlight, but in the end it will be worth it.

with your xpods did you use an L bracket or the clamp style? Or did you have to fab something up yourself? I know you were a little stumped about the mounting and directing of the pods last time we spoke. Love the look

I may not have my 4Runner anymore, but I finally got the 6" lift and 35's I always wanted done, lol. Mammoth can now go 90% of the places my 4Runner could. She's still a fat heavy pig though. I get the same mpg as my 4Runner though, lol.
