Perfect tires for 2004 V6 4Runner4x4?

I can only compare the BFG AT KO ( had many sets of them ) and "P" rated Revos. (1 set )

The Revos are a great on road / wet road tire . In snow I find them simply ok , off road I dont think to much of them at all ( although I do have the "P" rated ones )

I only tried the Revo from what I've read here. Good tire but honestly was dissappointed overall. I do alot of road driving and they work great for that , but I also take my 4R just about everywhere , always finding someplace to drive off road , a field , farm roads , fire lanes , ect....I go everywhere I please with this thing and will go back to BFG AT KO.

I've always wheeled all my trucks and NEVER have had a flat with the BFG.

My recommendation would be BFG AT KO "C" rated tire. If mud is you biggest thing to tackle , look into Firestone mud tire , supposed to be real good road manners from what I've read.

As stated above, if on-road performance is my main concern, then i would get Goodyear SilentArmor.

Alright guys...Your argument seems alot to me like the "perfect chick" battle. "Well, one is hotter in the face and the other has a hotter body..." You wouldn't ba able to f*ck either so buy a damn set of tires and go watch a porn like you should be doing instead of endlessly debating tires!

I'll have to agree with Falls on this. I wanted an A/T as a winter tire and went with BFG. Test drove a buddy's truck and the REVO was too loud for me as an A/S road tire. Since I'm getting it only for on-road, then there are quieter and better (Mich CT or Pilot for me.) The only thing REVO has going for it is a modern tread pattern.

Why settle for one or the other? Get both, a face and a body. They don't have to be on the same body! This way I get the best of both worlds.
p.s. I'd rather talk tires. That's why we're on T4R.org instead of watching porn.

Bottom line , therre is no perfect tire , it really depends on your need !!

Revo "P" and "E" , BFG AT , Nitto are all great tires.

Well, i went with BFG...so, in essence, i am screwing the chick with with hotter face, while Koz likes the one with the nice body!:)

Hi, just to chime in. I live in San Francisco and travel to Tahoe quite a bit. I have also driven to Sun Valley, ID a few times. I did some serious 4 wheeling in the NV desert with my AT's. Firstly, the sidewalls are passenger tire width which makes them very prone to puncture even when doing light 4 wheeling. I replaced them with REVOS which are much heavier duty, and are Light Truck LT tires. I have notice no difference in ride quality and I drive the freeway daily.

I had a set of these on my '92 Bronco. They were great in the rain and light snow (3-4 inches or so) and made almost no noise on the highway. However, they flat spotted like crazy. In cold weather, even after just sitting over night, it felt like I was like driving around on square tires until they warmed up.

Overall, I liked the BFG AT's I had on the truck much better.

I just installed these on my T4R today. I'll let you guys know what I think of them after I drive on them for a while.

It will say on the front of the tire size.
eg....

P265/70/17 or LT265/70/17

What size did you go with 65 series or 70 series (middle number)

I honestly hesitated to post this in fear of a major run by people to buy a set so they're unavailable if I decide to get some, but these look really nice. Available in 265/70R17.

Any bad experiences with the brand? Looks like they're only available in load range E, but I'm not concerned with having a stiff sidewall and I do pull a boat.
