Performace upgrades?

I recently went up skiing and my 2000 4runner had a pretty hard time getting up the steep hills in the colorado mountains. Any suggestions on how to get more power besides a supercharger.

Nope...unfortunately, supercharger is the only good way to get any significant power gain. Other changes will only yield small changes (good or bad).

yea, my 97 4Runner has no power at all before we put a supercharger on it. now that with the supercharger, i can go over any big hill easily. especially when i was driving from AZ to KS for school. the supercharger worked great from New Mexico to Colorado. Highly Recommanded

uhm, how about buy a sports car .. i have a 03 4Runner for off roading and pulling stuff, and then i have a '96 viper gts for speeding.

he's got a point, but if u have a 4runner like mine which is 97, it doest have enough HP, 185HP stock, so adding a supercharger does help at towing stuff and do some weekend off-roading

your car is 10 years old. I'd first make sure all maintenance items are done properly (if you haven't already)

$3K for the TRD supercharger alone.
I don't know if Toyota will still install it.
