performance chips

i wanted to know if anyone had tried a performance chip for a 99 'runner 3.4? if so, how is the performance and mpg? i had noticed one advertised on this site, but $69 seems a little cheap. Can anyone recommend a good lift kit? in the 3 to 6 inch range? Price? thanks , happy trailing!

Truthfully is there's no proof they work so save your money.

3" is the max lift the stock CVs can handle but you can get that lift for about $6-700. Any bigger it wioll really start to get expensive.

is there any one lift kit you guys prefer? what size tires will i be able to run with it? right now she sets on 265/75/16s.

I have not seen any chips perform like they say they do. Most of them are just pure junk IMO. I have installed lots of Toytec stuff and really like the product they carry. Pm me if you want pricing!!


Edit: you can run a 285 tie with a 3" lift.

I'm pretty sure chips are really only effective with forced induction.
