Performance Products Flares????

I just found this site and this is my first post. I was wondering if anyone has the Performance Products flares for their 3rd gen?

I have a 99 without any flares or chrome trim which originally came with the 225/75-15 tires

I've added 16" tacoma wheels and Limited running boards and would like to get matching flares. The OEM Toyota ones are too expensive and was looking at the Performance ones which look like the larger 02 type SR5 or Sport Flares.

Has anyone put these on their T4R and if so can you show some pics? Thanks!

They're actually Bushwacker flares which mimic the Limited flares but are about a half inch thinner which looks a little better IMO. I had a set on my '97 and they looked nice and fit very well but you would lose the stock rear mudflaps but you can just replace them with a set of cheaper ones like I did.

The best part is you can get them here http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/...0/p-2008755/N-111+200729268+600001978/c-10101 like I did and much cheaper than PP.

Thanks Ron! I think I am sold on the extend a fender. Can you recall if the installation was difficult? I downloaded the instructions from the Bushwacker site and it seems relatively easy except the piece which goes on the rear door. Just wondering how yours went. Do you have any pics of your 4Runner with the flares on them? Thanks again.

I installed them with a friend who had a power driver which made the install much quicker and I think with even taking little breaks it was all done in under 2 hours since the only drilling was 4 small holes on the rear doors for the bracket that hold the actual flare piece otherwise you just use the original screw holes in the wheel wells.
I would recommend picking up a few extra plastic screws from the dealership if the old ones get tore up while removing the old trim.
