Permission to Shop!

Well my oldest kid, 16, has decided that he really likes my 4Runner and would rather drive it than the family car, Sonata. He knows how I love my Runner and he said I could shop for another!!

WHAAAATTTT??!!! Shop for another 4Runner??!!! :reddance: As if I don't do it all the time anyway.
This means I can shop for another 3rd Gen or go grab a V8 4th Gen. for real. This will be a very precise shop since i'm leaning to a V8.
On the lookout for the dark blue V8 or the rare bronze 3rd Gen. Patience is a virtue in this realm.

Sure he can drive my 99 but he already said he knows he's never gonna get it out of my paws unless i'm dead. My boy knows me too well. :lookout:

BTW - I'm still fixing mine up some and so glad for the advice on here for stereos. Went with the doubledin and like having BT available and sounds better than the new car ones.

Also the Lexus GX470 is basically a fancied up V8 4th gen (sort of) but the prices aren't as high on them as you'd expect, just because people a shopping for 4Runners instead?

I like the GX470 as it's a Land Cruiser with a bit of bling. it fell off my radar but thanks for the reminder! I'd love to find a Land Cruiser. that's my 2nc choice to the Runner V8.
I spied that nice jade runner in the forum for sale down south. Very nice truck.

Awesome! Yes, be patient, typically takes 6+ months for the One to come along.

If going for the V8 Runner, go for a 2005-2009. Those V8s have VVTi, good for an extra 40 ponies or so + the mid-cycle refresh goodies listed in the wiki link below.
