high temp extractor. Many detail shops have these machines, which spray a high temp cleaning solution into upholstery and almost simultaneously, vacuum it out before is soaks too far into the foam padding etc. You can also rent the machine from home depot or the like which is nice because you may need to do it multiple times to get the funk out. You want to treat the seats and carpet but stay away from the headliner, door panels and anything else that is glued on as the steam will compromise the adhesion. An "ozone" machine to finish it off (also found at detailer or rented) is a good idea too. After that, its important to maintain the interior cleanliness and eventually the smell will go away. ask me how i know....
Baking soda, or I've even heard of apples being used
First thing's first...change the cabin air filter. It's behind the glove box. You'll have to drop the glove box by pressing in on the sides where the "stops" hit the box to keep it from swinging down. Then, after dumping your glovebox contents on the floor...you'll see the filter, release the clips and pull it out....you can either cut a cheap air filter for your house to fit, or spend $13 for a new one from autozone. That alone will get rid of ALOT of the smell that's saturated in the old filter. Hope that helps!!

Hate to break it to you, but tires and spark plugs won't do anything to help with the smell.....:zoom:
But congrats to your sister!
natures miracle
pour it on all fabrics and rub it in with a rag. be generous with the amount so it soaks in well. don't give up until you've done it three times with 30 day spacing.
+1
This stuff can also be added to the carpet shampooer when you use it.
Hey Peoples,
There is a product called Zero Odor that is available in Bed Bath and Beyond. This stuff is the best I have ever used. My son puked inside of the runner and it was not nice. I used it on pet urine/ dog bed also and it destroyed the funk. After using several differnt products I gave Zero Odor a shot and the smell was gone for good. Best produst for smell that I have ever used. Give it a shot you will not be sorry.:thumb3: Thanks
