PFRAN Interior LED Kit Before/After

Here's my before/after pics with the new PFRAN LED's. Whole kit was $50 and came with leds for the front map lights, center dome, rear dome, and 4 single leds for your doors. I decided to leave the doors stock to match my running boards, so I put 2 of the extras on my plate. Everything was plug and play, took less than 20 minutes to do everything. The benefits from this small mod are so worth it.

From their site: (my set came with 2 smaller grids for the map lights instead of the single bulbs)
4Runner - Interior kit (4th Gen.) - PFran LEDs

HIGHLY recommend this kit!

That looks pretty good, and reasonably priced. Any flickering issues? That happened with an LED kit for my GTI and good lord was it annoying.

Yeah price wasn't bad, and no issues so far. This is only day one but I don't expect them to have any problems. They're made pretty well.

I did this mod a little over a month ago from the same place. They came out great and such an easy setup. I wish I did this a few years ago when I first picked up my vehicle.

you guys over paid for these led kits, on ebay you could get everything under 20 bucks.

I usually go the ebay route and I'm all for saving $, but sometimes those cheap ones are a hit or miss.

From what I've seen the pfran are far brighter.

if you find the right size panel on the 5050 smd led, i think the 24s they fit the map and dome light fine, also there is no point of having a super bright ass led in the door, im fine with the 5 smd versions in there, not like i have my doors wide open all the time.

I came here to post the same thing. The difference is amazing, especially in the rear cargo area.

If you are reading this and haven't done this yet, what are you waiting for!? I'm kicking myself for not doing this mod a year ago when I bought this 4R.

Also as a side note, $50 might seem expensive compared to the kits on eBay or Amazon that are half the price, but if you go back and look at the reviews the cheaper kits all seem to have issues around the two year mark, where as the pfran kit seems better for longevity

Bad business etiquette!

I ordered the interior light set last Monday after reading all the good reviews, and my order still hasn't shipped almost 2 weeks later.
When I asked what was going on i was told he was missing stock, and should get some in the next day or early next week. Today being Thursday and after 2 days of radio silence, its feeling pretty shifty.

Just ordered mine, hopefully doesn’t take forever to ship as previously posted.

I'd suggest checking out SuperBrightLEDs.com I've been buying from them for probably 15 years since back in my RC Car/Model Car Days.

Check the first post of my build thread, I went through the bulbs that I ordered from them and I'm happy to answer any questions you might have. There's no reason to wait as long as you have for LEDs when every store under the sun sells them.

Did right by me.

Well, I was refunded my money after complaining about the extended delays. No hassle on the refund, but to my surprise he still sent me the LED'S, the install was pretty easy, and the results were spectacular. I wouldn't hesitate to spend the money on this kit, just needs better seller communication.
Just felt I had to update my experience after he sent me free of charge.

could be since the person order from china.

February is the chinese holiday month, expect nothing for a month, chinese new years and such.

FWIW I was not pleased with my PFran set. The doors, license plate and front overhead (all the same bulb type) are straight-up purple on mine. I've never gotten around to replacing them either :(

LED Temperature

I admit, the LED'S were a bit more "spotty" than the halogens. By which I mean, you can see the individual sources of like more than I would prefer, but all of my bulbs provided an even light, more blue than purple, as expected of a typical LED vs halogen.

If your lights are excessively purple, you may have received a bad batch. I have seen cases (flashlights mostly) where the select few display a violet hue.

I like the looks of these especially for the cargo area, however I would think the map lights would kill your night vision if turned on while driving at night.
