**Photography Talk**

Thanks for noticing that little detail. I wouldn't say it was "planned" but it was noticed and part of the reason the photo was taken in that moment. Turned out pretty cool cause he's the one who built the truck.

Thanks for the good luck. I think the contest is dead... We made our submission but the website hasnt been update in months. Not sure whats going on and we've emailed them several times to inquire without a response.

Keep an eye out for any footage that you sent in being used without your permission.

Well I am back to show some more photos. This first one has been shared and featured by Montana's tourism site so that was fun to have happen (don't come here we are full :p ) and the the picture of the barn and the milky way won a contest for a spot in a calendar. Might not be the most amazing feat but its the first competition or anything of the sorts I have won and got money for it.

i haven't been out shooting too much lately which sucks cause I got a new camera. I just got a new bag too, I was using a lowepro flipside 400 which I hated using so much. I just got the think tank airport essentials delivered yesterday. so far I am impressed, its a smaller yet larger bag. fits everything nicely and so much easier to get my gear in/out of. It fits my two bodies with 4lenses, flash and several batteries easily. if you are in the market for a new bag maybe give it a looksie

I have been going through and trying to edit pictures I have taken this year. this one was from my trip to Barcelona in January. Beautiful 60f day, sat down on the beach ate a burger and enjoyed the sounds of the waves.

I didn't know there was a photography following on here. There's some great shots in here. Thought I'd share some of mine I've taken recently and I'll continue to share in the future.

What camera/ lens combo are you shooting with? Great shots

Cool thread, and I even see familiar photos from other sites. Here because I'm researching getting into either a 3rd or 4th gen 4R, though I tend to always find the photo threads.

Thanks. I was dabbling in a little street-shooting this summer. I've never been real fond of shooting people, so it was difficult at first. I did, however, find that 35mm is a tad wider than I would like shooting on the street. I shoot a regular old 5d (MKI) and I currently only own two lenses. The 35 F2 IS, and the $100 Canon 50 1.8. The 50 is the perfect focal distance, however, my plastic fantastic has an AF issue, so it's completely useless trying to focus on anything moving.

Anyhow, here's a few more.
These were all shot in Detroit, btw.

I lied, this one is from the Dream Cruise, in Birmingham.

And this, in Royal Oak. This was shot with my 50mm, lol. Always misses.

n2advnture what does going to public school have to do with knowing how to use a camera? you don't even need to go to school to learn photography. so much free stuff online. if you already know the basics, all you need to do is go shoot. its digital, shoot away and delete. with each picture you learn something new. and ask questions, lots of them. just make sure you pay attention to who is giving the advice and that it is someone who should be giving advice.
for me personally, I shoot 90% in aperture priority mode. the other 10% is in manual/bulb mode.

i'm still going through pictures from my travels this year. here is one of my latest edits. for those who are bad with geography, its the Eiffel tower in Paris. for those who are great with geography, you'll know its altered.
taken in the middle of January 2016. Canon 6D, using a 16-35 lens
