I went to the NC Aquarium yesterday and to say the least, it was the hardest shooting I've ever done as an newb photographer. Trying to get all my settings right for the varying light and different tanks were pretty hard. Here are a few of what I got.

Anyone here used lynda.com before? Thinking about signing up but wanted to see some opinions or if anyone has any alternatives they prefer for training videos etc.

I've used Lynda.com on and off for a couple of years. What exactly are you looking to get from it? If you're looking to learn how to use programs then you can't be them for that. They have excellent trainers for Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere. I would suggest that you spend the extra money to be able to use the exercise files given for each course (it makes a hell of a difference when you can follow along step by step).

If you're looking for photography instructional videos then take a look at www.KelbyTraining.com. They have amazing classes for every imaginable genre of photography.

I've also used lynda.com quite a bit. Agree with the post above. If it's for program learning, it's a pretty amazing site.

Had to drive 30 miles..

Did a couple of close up for a friend's new stang

Rear badge shot is my favorite. First photo doesn't do much for the Ford paint department though. I have a hard time not instantly focusing in on the orange peel of the paint.

I've been doing a ton of car stuff, but don't generally post too many of them here.

From Cars and Caffeine the other day

and something I really want to try again

I wasn't at all set up for the shot and snapped it really quick while the car was pulling in. I think it could have been really cool if the focus and zoom would have been perfect.

I used the 11-16 2.8, It seems to be a popular wide angle among us crop sensor users. Also, all of these shots are single exposures.

Told ya you'd like that lens. For the price, you get a very nice lens.
