**Photography Talk**

Just got back from 5 days in Miami Beach. Got the Phantom 3 Advanced out the last morning to catch the sunrise. Just started going through all the clips, but hear is a quick sample.

Cool shots man, that first photo is pretty dope! Can I get a copy?

Glad you like them. PM me your email and I will send it to you. On that shot I waited for about 45 minutes, waiting for the sun to set enough so I could slow the shutter down to 20 seconds. That way I could get the ocean to look misty and trailing car lights. The only negative was after that shot it was night and I had to wait until morning to do any more landscape pics.

Still working on editing video from Miami a week ago. Got out and caught the sunrise coming up on downtown OKC this past Saturday.

Attempted to shoot sunset on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park, but clouds hung over both sides of Kawuneeche Valley, so I zipped back over to the east side, stopped at the Alpine Visitor Center to shoot a quick pick:

Then continued on to Alluvial Fan, for some early evening photography.

I'm looking into getting a L-series lens soon along w/ a 9 to 10 stop ND filter for a shot I want to get, just have
to get up uber early to get it while the fog is still over the river I cross over on my way to work. .

new to forums in general and came across this post. Just thought i'd say I REALLY like the red walkway picture!

Famous last words.

Damnit!! I bit the bullet again...and got Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR! It on back-order from Nikon...but should be here next week I guess. Nikon has it on sale for $200 off MSRP.

I will sell my stock 24-120 f/4 lens on eBay. So, i will be down to just the 24-70 f/2.8 and 70-200 f/2.8.

Then you need to add the 14-24/2.8 so you have the holy grail trio! :)

I know i know i know i know...but my wife is already looking at me funny...i may have to wait on that lens for now....:pray2:

My plan is PROBABLY going to go with Nikon 16-35mm f/4G ED VR instead.

(starts twisting nips)

Someone said 14-24... I can feel it.... I need one so bad someday. My style of photography it would fill that hole quite nice.

ug,

Anyways, D700 shooter here.

dang, sorry guys. Photos hotlinked from Fbook and came out full size. Is there a forum option to have the scale down photos automatically?

The weather pattern indicated potential for a great sunrise, so I went to be early on Saturday evening, so I could be up at 2am, to drive to the Bear Lake parking area, to hike up to Dream lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, for twilight & sunrise.

I arrived at the parking area by 4:25am and was on-trail by 4:30am. I made to my shoot location by 4:50am and was set up and started creating images shortly thereafter!

Sunrise was good, but not great (in my opinion)...
