**Photography Talk**

I really want to try an X100T (or F), but they're a bit pricey. I'm just a budget shooter at this point, but I have been eyeballing the Ricoh GR. I think it would suit me, in fact.

I shoot with an X Pro 2. Yourself?

Originally shot the x100s but wanted one with interchangeable lenses and now have been shooting with the xt1. Got the x70 as the daily run around and they're both great!

I do miss the rangefinder on the x100s and thinking of upgrading to the xpro2

I have the corrupted jpeg files on a hard drive. I just can't open them. I can open the others jpegs, just handfull is not cooperating.
I get a message of "the picture format is not recognizable" on the corrupted files. I can't view them, Photoshop can't open them and renaming doesn't work.
I thought I bring this up on here just in case anyone here experienced this and how they solved it. Thanks

on the rename, did you only rename the file or did you rename the extension too? It sounds like might be SOL on those sorry. you can try some data recovery places (or software) but ive not heard of anyone able to recover corrupt jpg.

Put a couple of the ones that work and a couple of the ones that don't back onto a card and see if you can view them on your camera. If you can, that's a good sign. If not, well...

Yup, I tried that. It's a no go in the camera too.

I tried both. Just renaming the file, and addressing the extension too. That didn't work too.

Thanks for the answers guys. I just was hoping there was this 2017 ultimate utility I didn't hear of yet that could recover the files. Or if there would be a way of treating the files within windows.
It's times like these I miss the film days.

Last summer I spent a week camping in northern Michigan and shot about 300 photos. When I got home and sat down to start uploading, I somehow managed to reformat the card first... I didn't touch my camera for at least a month.

In other news, I figured out how to get this thing working today. My mom had it lying around and decided I should have it. The only problem is that the battery door is broken, so it won't stay shut. So I screwed my tripod mount into the bottom, and it covers the battery door. Lol, works like a champ - I just need to find some film.

Canon Sure Shot (new) - Came out in '83 and was replace in '86.

I had no room for error when taking off/landing my drone for this shot. take off was no issue, landing it however was. I ended up crashing it in to a tree about 10' off the ground. thankfully all of the branches slowed the fall down so it isn't damaged, just really dirty.

every year I take a birthday picture of my dog, this is year 14.
I ordered some new flashes and tested them out here. using both off camera and bouncing off of a wall and the ceiling.
