Had the '06 for a month now. I am loving almost everything about the new truck. Wish I could have stuck with blue, but Toyota figured not to offer the Sport in blue. It would have been my 5th successive blue car. But, I am pretty happy with Shadow Mica so far.

The '93 has 158K on it and got the Revo's earlier this year. It has and always will be my daily driver until it decides to retire.

Nice.... look at how much higher the off the ground the nose is on the older 4Runner...or at least the clearance under the bumper. The skid plate looks like it has more ground clearance too.

And the newer 4Runner looks so much wider.

What size are those Revos?

That is the best garage anybody can have! Both trucks look great. So, which do you like better?

I can definitely tell that the older 4runner seems to have much more ground clearance because I can get my fairly high creeper under frame to change the oil. I really have to be with my back flat on the ground to get to the drain plug in the '06. And you can tell the width difference inside for sure. I love how much more room you have inside width wise.

The Revo's on the '93 are the stock 10.5X31". My friends comment on how oversized they look on the truck, but they just look bigger than the stock wrangers of the same size that I had on it before. I think they have a cool factor to them because they do look so big! Hope to buy a set for the '06 soon.

Thanks Mark! There is alot of sentimental value in the '93, but I love the power of the '06 and stereo (JBL) and ride. If I had to keep one it would probably be the '06, but I would miss my old 2nd gen!

Congrats and looking great. That's my favorite brush guard on your 2nd gen.

As the 4Rs get newer, the skid plate got flatter and less rake than the previous gen killing approach angles.

Thanks! Unfortunately, I am not sure how much it was because it was a dealer added accessory at the purchase. It was my parent's SUV at first then then I bought it from them. I will see if they have the window sticker down in the glove box and see how much it was. The brush guard was the OEM Toyota accessory I am guessing because it has a Toyota logo in plastic on the bar.
