Can't be a 4runner.

Mine is Suzuki Samurai. I got my first one in Guantanamo Bay Cuba. I got it stock, and gave it just a few up grades, 2in shackle reversal lift, 31"tires, steelies, interior panels, repainted all the trim. It' a little expensive doing this stuff since everything has to brought in by a turbo prop little passenger plane.

Some before and after pics. I also took off the spare tire holder and inserted fishing pole holders, I did a lot fishing and that mod was handy as hell. The last pic is one I got when I got back to the states, but i got rid of it, I didn't like it as much as my old one, and my wife and I were about to have our boy. I'll own one again though.

My first car was the same but 88 Tin top... It was my sisters and she was side swiped by a car. I bought it from her for the cost of the two yard fees. Swapped out the rear axle...It would never go over 55.. death wobble would kick in.. Fun little rig, miss that POS

I would hate to get in wreck in that thing, you are so vulnerable in it. I could take that little thing anywhere, the wheelbase is short it could go up and over anything.

And for sure it's slow, I couldn't get mine to 55 on a downhill too, but if you put the Suzuki Swift 1.6 engine in it, it would do ok. A lot of people drop 4.3 vortecs in them. I saw one with a rotory engine, and man that thing was fast!.

I bought a 1979 VW Rabit in 1989. That was a POS. I paid $1000 + all the money put in to fix it. I sold it for $250 (was not running at the time). The buyer paid me cash but never came to pickup the car.

This 1998 Honda Civic I drove from the Gulf of Mexico up to Northern Ontario and back several times. It was a manual and I'd drive it really really hard, to the redline, fly down dirt roads, and drive on snow covered roads in winter sliding the corners pretending I was a rally driver. With snow tires it handled snow and ice incredibly well (I'd fly past soccer moms in their street tire 4x4s) and only got stuck once on bald all seasons (why I finally started using snow tires). It was the cheapest most basic DX model, everything manual, but it was a lot of fun and I miss it.

I bought it at 60,000 miles and sold it at 170,000 to someone who needed a high MPG commuter car. I would have kept it if it had air conditioning, but traffic jams without air were horrible. I remember being stuck near Toronto in the middle of summer pooring bottles of hot water down my head trying to keep cool.

i bought it when i was 16 for $500 off my brothers friend.

6 days later the clutch blew... so add another $800 (thanks to mom and dad for the loan)
this thing was broken into a total of like 8 times. 4 broken windows. people stole my speakers (the ghetto rig you can see in the pics, yes they are from a home stereo), bowling balls and shoes, cigarettes, and my ipod. i think someone just hated my awesome self made paint job. i did the black and the flames and all the other nonsense. my ex gf who is now a tattoo artist did the skull.

it was a blast. sucked on HP and climbing hills when you had more than one person in it. but i had some good times in this thing. mostly the weird looks i would get. (i am a chubby kid) "faaat guy in a little caaarrrr"


i found my old photobucket with all the pics from when i sold it. btw i sold it about 2 years later (couldnt do the no a/c anymore) and purchased the 4runner (that i am still paying for)

but i sold it for $1000, to some 17 year old from a small town an hour away and he loved it. the ODO rolled over once i think. before my friend owned it, an older couple had it that hooked it to the back of thier RV.

i go to that town frequently for work and i look for it. i wonder how its doing. have yet to see it again.

btw, the "AKA" was for my friends band A Kindled Apparition... and about 3 months after doing that for them, they changed their name to just The Kindled. and no longer went by AKA... punks.

ive owned a lot of fun and badass cars, but i would honestly have to say that my runner takes the cake on this contest. it has decent balls with the blower, and can offroad like a mofo, and gets decent mpg all things considered. this is my funnest car ever!

ok, ok, lol! if i had to choose another one it would be my current corolla. the thing is quick, it looks like a crapbox, and gets like 30mpg, sometimes. love giving m3s and such a run in this thing.

though, when it comes to handling, my wagon owns them all. i have a lot of money in the suspension and brakes on this thing, and it shows when i can 4 wheel slide a f/f car down a mountain road.

You have had a lot of fun vehicles, but i think the most unique is the station wagon with all the upgraded suspension and brakes. I have never seen anyone do that with station wagon.

It's what replaced my 4runner when I gave it back to my Dad.

2006 Jeep Wrangler Sport. 3.5 inches of lift, 33 inch BFG A/Ts, aussie locked dana 30 front axle, open rear dana 44, Trail Gear Rock Sliders, bedlined tub, CB radio and other crap I can't remember. Brings a smile to my face every time I drive it.

'93 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX

Bought it stock in '95 with 195hp,took it to the strip a few years before the import explosion happened and drew the ire of the domestic crowd right away. At our lofty altitude of 5800ft it ran 15.7@83mph bone stock which was a half second behind a 275hp Camaro of that era.

A couple of years (and a few bucks) later it was running low 14s and a bigger turbo later it had somewhere north of 350hp and ran 13.0@104 (12.4 down in Houston at sea level) and I ended up logging over 400 runs down the 1/4 mile in 8 seasons. It was just a tad quicker than a Viper GTS and with AWD it was hard to beat on the street.
