picked up a new toy

picked up a 2004 Suzuki LTZ400 from the original owner. It had been sitting for 2 years, so I had to drain the fuel and go through the carb, but it fired right up and runs great. The truck pulls it like it's not even there, which was really surprising to say the least. I'm taking both the truck and the quad to the Badlands in IN. in a few weeks and I'm going to put both of them through some hell for a few days. I'll have pics of that later.

Still don't see the GX 470. Did you buy it? Nice pick up BTW.

no, the original one I was looking at was sold, and the second one I was looking at turned out to be a huge turd. After thinking about it, I can't bring myself to get rid of my 4runner, I like it way too much. I also enjoy no car payments too.

Nice bike! Makes me regret selling my quad a couple of weeks ago. I had a '04 Honda 400ex with a 440 kit from Duncan Racing. Thing was a beast! Used to take it to the dunes in Oregon and eat YFZ450's all day long. Those things are a blast!!!

My wife has been trying to convince me to get one of these or a side-by side. My friends would never let me live it down (dirtbike guys). Lol.

Nice pick up :D

I was thinking of doing the Athena big bore, but I think I'll wait until I blow this motor up.

Good choice! My buddy ran their 94mm kit on his LTZ400 and that quad was scary fast!!! I love the 400's. all my friends that I ride with said I should've held out for a 450 until we (me and my buddy with the LTZ) smoked'em on the dunes in Florence, Oregon. Unfortunately I had so sell mine to fund my runner project. I'll be back though. 400's go pretty cheap around here and can easily be build to hang with the 450's and then some!

Enjoy!

I couldn't find one on craigslist around here for any less than $2,000. A friend of a friend had this one and was hurting for cash, so I paid him $1,000.

Nice!!! What I'm really interested in is that "smoker craft" hiding in the back.:biggrin2: I'm looking to buy me a boat maybe next year. I've been working on my neighbor for his North River that he never uses. Our salmon season just opened yesterday so we'll be in the river for a while but we do a lot of fishing off the coast.
