Picked up a Thule rack, need help understanding the feet and our rails

Got a big, long Thule cargo box and bars and feet for $50. It needs cleaning up and I think some parts for the bars to attach to the stock rails are missing. Anyway, I just have the stock Toyota rack on my 2002 Sport. I’m thinking that the crossbars need to come off but I’m just wondering how the Thule feet I have will stick to the stock rails. The guy I bought it from said that there might be generic feet out there. Another mounting option for the skybox is just to connect to the stock rack crossbars already there. I’m new at this so any help is much appreciated. This box is like 87” long and 24” wide, 16” High.

Would help if you posted pics of what you have or specifically what feel it came with. Then we can figure out what you need to fill in any gaps.

if you have the photos stored online, I think you just press on the photo until it asks if you want to save or copy it, click copy and it will copy the photo URL

I purchased the Thule Tracker Kit II TK1 for my 2000 T4R in 2001. It included the bases that install in the rails. I also purchased the #430 Tracker II Foot Pack that contained the mounts that installed on the bases and connected to the load bar. Then purchased a load bar and cut it down to correct length. I leave the bases installed and only put on the feet/load bar when using the rack. Locks came optional but I did not purchase them I have attached the fit sheet for the TK1 bases that I purchased which could help you figure out if a used set-up would fit your T4R....it only goes to 2001. Good Luck

its gonna look something along the lines of the Yakima Locking Railriders 1 specifically. i hope that helps GL

It’s a Thule Adventurer XL. Anyway, buying new struts for it today. Still need to post pics though
