Pics of larger tires on stock suspension please

If anyone here has put on larger tires without any type of lift, can you please post your photo here?

Looking to do an upgrade in two stages.

1. Bigger tires and TRD wheels (this year)
2. 1-2 inch lift. (next year)

I understand 285's are too large to mount without a lift or significant rubbing, but 275's fit with minimal rubbing only when in reverse?

On the body mounts real bad on big turns and bumps.

Your statement and understanding is incorrect.
Lifting the 4runner only helps tire clearance when the vehicle is sitting still. Think about it: If you lift your vehicle 3" and you go over a bump that compresses your suspension 3" then you are right back where you started from at stock height. So if you never want to rub with bigger tires you must make appropriate mods to keep it from rubbing through all degrees of articulation both in forward and reverse. Which means you should be able to put the big tires on with no lift and mod til it has no rub.

Did you have the 275's before the 5100's? Any rubbing issues. Thinking about getting the 5100's for the front to level it out.

Yes, the top picture is with stock suspension as you can tell by the rake being a lot more pronounced than on the bottom pic. I didn't have any rubbing on stock suspension with 275's at all. I got the 5100's for less dive on braking and set them @. 85" for the more level look with only a slight rake. Exactly the look I was going for and @. 85" setting you can load/haul quite a bit of stuff before you get reverse rake.

I'll be getting 285/70/17 Cooper AT/W put on my stock Trail tomorrow. I've already pulled the front fender liners forward and used the heat gun on the front mud flaps so hopefully there won't be any rubbing. I'll let you know how it goes.

As promised. No rubbing while driving around today on pavement or over curbs and speed bumps. I'll have to get out and have some fun with it soon and see if there is any rubbing under compression but it looked pretty good to the naked eye.
