Pics of my 4Runner with 18% tint up front

Yea, its nothing exciting but hopefully will help the search. I searched forever and most of the tint threads had turned to typical internet arguments. This is just 18% up front, factory rear glass. He meter said back read at 23%. The 18% matches about as good as its going to get. Im really picky and its perfect to me. Hope this helps people wanting to tint front glass. 18-20% should do the job. Ill let the pics speak though.

Looks good, try to remove the Lip on the windshield, it looks not so good.

Fronts are darker, but that's about as close of a match as I have seen.

Do you have any pictures from inside? Sometimes a bigger difference can be seen from inside.

What brand was of tint is that?

Im not sure what brand. I just know it turned out exactly how I wanted. :hatsoff: Its as good as you will get matching tint film with factory sunscreen glass.

My 08 with 20% up front. The factory glass on the 4th gens is noticeably lighter than the 3rd gens.

When i did mine(had them done) I just asked them to match the factory. I have no i dea what %it is.. i'll see if i can post a picture.

Yeah the fronts match the rear windows almost perfectly. You really gotta look hard to see any differences in the tint.

Been thinking about a new stereo system and gonna get a tint with that so it ain't too easy to see inside the truck.

wow, good price. i use the a guy at clear auto bra of st louis, he has taken car of my bmw's in the past, great work. unfortunately im not going as dark as in MO 35% is the legal tint limit. ive tried to keep all my mods within regulations, as in when the lights on the light bar were installed and when they can be operated.

wow, good price. i use the a guy at clear auto bra of st louis, he has taken car of my bmw's in the past, great work. unfortunately im not going as dark as in MO 35% is the legal tint limit. ive tried to keep all my mods within regulations, as in when the lights on the light bar were installed and when they can be operated.

Cool. Ive also used DALO off Butler Hill in St Louis County for several of my vehicles. This place was right by my house so I gave them a try. Nice shop, big flat screen TV to watch and Golden T machine! Had it done in 25 minutes. Im going to take the BMW in and have 38% on all windows and 18% on very back window. Any pics of your 4Runner? Sounds like the same 4Runner as mine. Will have to keep an eye out.

I live in St. Charles too! Right off 94 and O'fallon. I got my tints done out at Wicked Stickers over off hwy 70 in St. Charles. They did my front for $60 w/ 18% tint. We should all get together sometime!

I would love to go 18% but again i want to keep mine legal. Dont want to have to deal with a ticket for that, and here in chesterfield there are police every 100 feet, which i kind of like. find a good place to offroad in the area and let me know when we're meeting up. there used to be a place behind the hummer dealership in the valley i think, but that may have been a temporary course. I used DALO for my house, they did a good job. I just called there and they quoted me $70, also confirming the 35%. They apparently use a 45% film which when combined with the factory glass brings you to 35. unfortunately they wont come do this in the field, you have to go to them. however they are still a ton cheaper than my guy so i may give them a shot

The Tint Guy uses 38% if you want to go that route. $60/no tax.

Nice. Mine is a 06 325 Premium Pkg/xenon with 33K miles and no issues other than a software flash and replacing one of the power lock mechanisms. Its got another 2 yrs of CPO left on it. I bought/service mine at Autohaus. Who do you deal with? Ive been super happy with Autohaus.
