So this is my first four runner. I picked thid baby up cheap from a friend going through a divorce. Thid is how I purchased it.







It has 35" super swampers with less than 1k miles. They rub at full turn on flat ground. My budy cut the fender wells on the cab with a plasma cutter but they still rub. Luckily I have decent welding skills so I can patch it up no problem. The driver door wouldnt open. Went and bought a slim jim and popped it open. The rod had fallen off the handle due to a broken plastic clip.

Next he had no blinkers on the front. I hooked them up and weird things were going on. He told me they didn't work right. I started tracking the wires back. Found where some wires had shorted out and melted. I cut, trimmed, butt connected, heat shrinked, and electrical taped it all together. Hopefully now it is all weatherproof now. Blinkers work great now.

All the electric windows and locks work great.

All I need to do is put a lift on it to clear the 35's and put a front end on.

Future plans:
Lift
Body lift
Lower diff
Install front body peices

Did I mention the a/c and heater work great! A definite necessity in south texas.
If anyone has lift components for sale let me know. Looking for fj rear and tundra front.

My goal is to make a reliable hunting vehichle. I pig hunt a lot. I'm tired of taking my new dodge and getting it dirty. Plus the possibilty of damaging it. It is a diesel so its a little loud also. Here are some pics of what I will be using it for.







Any suggestions on other possibilities of suspension to handle all this pork? I plan on making rackd t hat mount in receiver hitches on the front and back to hold all this bacon.
 
Get a 3/4 ton military trailer

It has surge brakes and dumps. Plus they're cheap.

I broke my front diff yesterday. Unbolted eberything today. Was trying to get it to drop down when work called. Cv's look good. Gonna look at the ring gear to see what size gears it has. Hopefully I can find another one cheap.

I would look into that military trailer. I would also consider changing out the excessively wide tires.
 
Good kills! Yeah the 4runner is perfect for storing your gear in a safe and dry place and even sleeping in, but like previously mentioned, get a trailer for the piggies. For those that haven't been pig hunting, it's insanely fun but they STINK. Perfect hunting combo.
 
Before some here get all upset about a couple of pigs in the back of a truck, in the south they are no different than rats. Except they are larger and do more than a BILLION dollars in damage every year. So, they are a LOT of fun to shoot.
 
I could care less if some yuppie gets offended. Where do they think their grocery stores get their meat from. I u wanna eat meat something has to DIE. Get over it. You like that corn on your plate. I'm helping it get there.
 
I'm actually kinda jealous. So you plan on leaving the hatch open and putting the pigs in there? or how will your truck be used in the pig killing process?
