Pimp My Ride and an 05 4Runner

you guys all missed on very interesting thing about what they did to the truck, if you noticed when they went to show the inside cargo area of the truck the rear tailgate opened (lifted) by itself, now that is somthing i would want to have. Is that somthing they added to the 05?

Aron, that laptop has Windows Media Center Edition on it. The laptop acts like a Tivo pretty much. You plug it into your cable/satellite box and can record shows on it. You need a TV tuner and Windows XP Media Center edition. I think the laptop has to be shiped with all of that stuff in order for it to work.

Also why in the hell would they waste a perfectly good monitor on the bottom of th rig. IMO they should have just gotten a stripped 4wd and tricked it all out for some good offroading. What a waste.

That thing is fugly as hell, but I expected nothing less from that show.
The power-lift rear gate is cool tho. The high-end Sienna vans have that feature.....I wonder if that motor/system can be adapted to a 4Runner's gate? Although I'd hate to see what those parts are worth......

Let me say that I was very disappointed in what they tried to do with that 4Runner!!!! I think the flames look retarded especially in green of all colors!!! I like the kit the put on it and the on-board computer.. but that's about it. They could have done a much better job. But hell... if I was getting a brand new 05' for free... I wounldn't care what it looked like. HAHAHAHA

You can get them for the RX330 too. It would not be an easy mod, or cheap. But anything is possible and this show proves it. Its funny how people say how much they hate the show, but everyone knows who west coast customs are now so its definately doing its job. 
Also, if you saw one of the cars on the road you would atleast want to check it out. Wheter you look at it in discust or in awe is another question 
. I must say they have no taste in cars but they do do some amazing things. Their interior guy is pretty amazing also. Imagine what they could do if you got to choose what they put on. :artist:

Kickin' it wit my old lady last night and caught some of the fresh bling XZibit and his boyz were able to get mad crazy. I would give my gold teeth just for some of that video on the freakin' spare. Next time I run down one of my homies I can be showin' him a program or two while I'm at it.
Just wanted to put in my cents. I tell you what...X to the Zibit is one BAMF.
I think I'll stick with my plain old 4Runner. I still can't get over the TV on the bottom of the car. "Now you can do your homework under your car and catch our show."

I only caught about 15 minutes of the show, but by the photos I'm glad I didn't see anymore.
That body kit looks just wrong on the Runner. And the flames look horrible, especially in that green.
It was a Limited which means $, but with that body kit and flames, it looks cheap.
They had a really nice 4Runner, that they really could have done some nice stuff too, but instead they let them do whatever they wanted, and ruined it.

That thing is hideous! The body kit, the flames...those belong on small cars (and even then they don't look that great). I think the interior would look great if all the green was taken away. The black leather looks very nice though (without the green, that is).
I think it would've been better if they just imitated the Toyota commerical a while back with the Corolla XRS.
