Pink Milkshake

What can fail in a 4runner following a pink milkshake? I test drove a truck that had a high pitched whine coming from engine that followed engine rpm. I saw a post where someone with a failing "front pump" described a high pitched sound. The sound I heard could have been an alternator bearing.

You have coolant and ATF mixed, so you have coolant getting into the trans where it doesn't belong, and ATF getting into the engine cooling jacket where it doesn't belong.
So a lot of things could fail if it's run in that condition long enough.
